As a third-generation leader raised in Kenya, leadership has been woven into the fabric of my life from an early age. My parents, both leaders in their own right, instilled in me the values and responsibilities of leadership. After completing my education at a high school renowned for nurturing the next generation of leaders, I embarked on a bold journey. At just 18 years old, I moved to a new continent—alone—to pursue further growth and opportunities in the United States.
For the past 19 years, I have dedicated myself to learning, growing, and serving in various leadership roles. My experiences span across financial audits, strategic finance in non-profits and healthcare, youth leadership, young adult mentorship, and multiple roles within church leadership. Each of these roles has shaped my understanding of leadership and deepened my commitment to serving others.
Throughout my journey, I realized the importance of inner work—retrospection, prayer, and meditation. These practices have kept me grounded, ensuring that I remain in a constant state of growth and alignment with my purpose. Over time, it became clear to me that the privileges I’ve enjoyed in life, family, and community were not just for my benefit; they were part of a bigger purpose. Each step of my journey has been significant, often requiring me to break barriers and pioneer new paths for my own survival and growth.
One of the greatest privileges I’ve experienced is the opportunity to learn from and be mentored by exceptional leaders from diverse cultures. These relationships have been reciprocal, as I’ve poured into the lives of others just as they have into mine. This mutual exchange has fueled my love and appreciation for the holistic development of leaders, their families, and their communities.
It was in moments of solitude during this journey that I received a divine calling—to support leaders and their families in a deeper way. This calling heightened my sensitivity to the unique challenges and needs of leaders and their families. My passion has since grown into a mission: to help high-impact leaders create loving, stable environments for themselves, their families, and the organizations they lead.
As a way to give back to those who have poured into me, and to support current and future leaders in their growth journey, I founded Evegrow LLC. At Evegrow, we are dedicated to helping leaders and organizations grow holistically and with purpose. We invite you to connect with us, as we continue to understand your needs and provide the support you need to thrive as a high-impact leader—both personally and within your spheres of influence.
